How was your Samhain? What did you all do? Any fun parties and/or cooking?
My dance troupe had a few performances, we did a spooky Dracula choreography (bellydancing). Our musician, Maurice Rickard remixed a dracula song for us, added some electronica to the background. It was way fun. We wore masquerade masks for the dance. Also, I did solo dancing with a black veil.
I didn't make one yet, but now I'm craving pumpkin cheesecake (vegan, of course!)...Yum.

Re: Samhain reviews?
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 1:54 PMWas wonderful. Went out with friends on the weekend to a costume rave party at a local art gallery, then hung out for 12 hours afterwords doing art, poetry and chatting at another friends :)
As for the real Samhain, I meditated a bit over the last year and let myself dissolve totally. Now I am rebuilding :) Tough but this is the time of year to do it! Coincidentally Nov.1 was my first day of committing to veganism. Can't think of a better day to start new things. -

Tue, November 8, 2005 - 9:34 AMMakes my anniversary easy to remember :) World Vegan Day, 1st day of the new year, yep that will be the day I get handfasted if I ever find someone interesting too. Actually, now that I think of it, I will delegate all important new things for me to start on Nov. 1st. -

Tue, November 8, 2005 - 12:52 PMSpeaking of handfasting:
I just went to my first pagan wedding ever, and it was really nice. I'm sure the family members in the audience weren't pagan, but they all seemed to have a nice time anyway, which is great.
Have any of you been to a pagan wedding? What was it like?
